Retirement Rerouted: The Origin Story and the Philosophy
The Route 65 name comes from a simple idea: age 65 is a destination, and most people arrive without a clear map. The decisions that shape retirement — when to claim Social Security, which Medicare plan fits your health needs, how to draw income without creating an unnecessary tax burden, how to structure an estate that reaches the right people — don't come with instructions.
I started Route 65 Financial to build those roadmaps. As an independent firm not tied to any single carrier or product platform, every strategy we build is shaped entirely by the client's situation.
The "Retirement Rerouted" concept reflects something I see consistently: most people approaching retirement are heading in generally the right direction, but they need their plan rerouted, built around where they actually are, what they actually have, and where they want to go.

Our Mission
Every Client Deserves a Roadmap, Not a Template
Age 65 is a destination where Medicare, Social Security, income planning, and estate strategy all converge at once. Our job is to make sure clients arrive there with a clear, coordinated plan already in place, built by credentialed advisors who answer to them and no one else.
our qualifications
The Credentials Behind Every Recommendation We Make
CLTC: Certified in Long-Term Care
The CLTC designation required rigorous training in long-term care planning strategies, including how to evaluate coverage options, how long-term care risk intersects with retirement income, and how to build a plan that addresses both without forcing a trade-off between protection and cash flow.
RFC: Registered Financial Consultant
The RFC designation reflects a comprehensive approach to financial planning across retirement income, investment strategy, and protection planning, with ongoing education requirements that keep the practice current.
CES: Certified Estate and Trust Specialist
The CES designation covers the strategies that govern how wealth transfers, how trusts are structured, and how a client's legacy reaches the people they intend, including the coordination between financial planning and legal estate documents.
